• Identify the main institutions of the European Union, understand their functioning, and processes of decision-making;
• Understand the direction and objectives of the European Union’s foreign policy, particularly in relation to the Arabian Peninsula;
• Analyse the major challenges facing the European Union, as well as possibilities regarding potential future reforms;
• Understand and articulate the views of some of the major political groups within the European Parliament.
