Social factors for harnessing sustainable energy and achieving energy efficiency overlook the dislocation of villagers, small farmers and rural peoples. Previous modernization funds have exported natural resources, but spurred land disputes with peasant farmers. The panel will explore methods for land use conflict management to improve energy efficiency in rural areas for multilateral environmental diplomacy objectives.
