Following a request from Mongolian President for support from the Partnership for Action for Green Economy (PAGE) – a UN inter-agency mechanism to help interested countries embark on green economy pathways - Mongolia became the first country to receive PAGE assistance. The aim of the PAGE initiative is to support Mongolia in further refining and implementing its Green Development Strategy (GDS). PAGE founding members - ILO, UNEP, UNIDO and UNITAR, - work jointly with UNDP in Mongolia and with in cooperation with support of the UN Resident Coordinator, in supporting a series of activities to advance Mongolia’s Green Development Strategy. The 2014 PAGE Implementation Workshop is taking place in Mongolia in May 2014. The interactions will provide an opportunity to take stock of action implemented since the PAGE inception week in November 2013 and to conclude the development of TORs for priority work stream during the second half of 2014.
