CIFAL Ecuador- Climate Change and Migration
Ecuador is a country with climatic peculiarities that make its analysis a challenge. Planning on a territorial scale in climate change management can be improved through complementary measures at all levels: Central Government, Decentralized Autonomous Governments (GAD) and other actors from the public and private sectors. Considering that they have different roles, these can be combined in a productive way to solve complex problems. Under this premise, a Provincial Action project against Climate Change was carried out between the Consortium of Provincial Autonomous Governments of Ecuador (CONGOPE) and the European Union
This event aims to identify the existing actions and measures for adaptation and mitigation of climate change in each of the provinces and to build in a participatory way the Provincial Strategies of Climate Change, including people as migrants.
The event is comprised of presentations with experts, followed by Q&A sessions.
The event is addressed to professionals interested in international trade and public administration.
