ICfD WSIS Prize Nominee
 
 
 
We are pleased to inform that the Innovative Collaboration for Development (ICfD), an e-Learning course organized by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in cooperation with iMark, FAO and CTA, was nominated for the 2014 WSIS Project Prize!
 
The WSIS Project Prize contest comprises of 18 categories that are directly linked to the WSIS Action Lines outlined in the Geneva Plan of Action. The ICfD course was nominated under Category 9: ICT applications: benefits in all aspects of life (E-learning).
 
 
The contest is open to all stakeholders: governments, private sector, civil society, international organizations, academia and others who are part of the WSIS Community. Any person can cast a vote by joining the WSIS Community through the Community’s web page.
 
HELP US by voting for the ICfD course in Category 9!  We would very much appreciate it if you share these news within your networks and advocate in favor of ICfD! Your support is very important and it will help make the ICfD course known as a good practice that empowers individuals to use social media and web 2.0 tools to make a difference in development. 
 
Every stakeholder can cast a vote. For the vote to be valid, it is mandatory to vote for ONE project in each of the 18 categories.  We are in Category 9: ICT applications: benefits in all aspects of life (E-learning)!

In case you are not, register here (all you need is a valid e-mail address) and login to cast your vote. The voting can be done spread over a period of time, provided that it is completed by the deadline: 18 April 2014 (23:00, Geneva time).
