The objective of the platform is to scale-up support to the financially excluded members of society and to offer them solutions to help and empower themselves to contribute positively in the financial systems.

The 8th AGFUND Forum which focused on “Empowering Women Through Financial Inclusion” was a fitting occasion to launch the platform. During the launching, Mr Alexander Mejia, Director of the Division for People and Social Inclusion, and Director-ad-Interim of the Division for Prosperity of UNITAR showcased the platform's objectives and plans on how to support finance stakeholders from developing countries, wishing to learn about Financial Inclusion and Micro-Credit Management.

Over the next 12 months, at least 8 online courses will be launched to benefit microfinance institutions and development agencies in the Middle east and across Africa.
