UNITAR Executive Director visits Japan

Building upon the important relationship with Hiroshima, a signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding between UNITAR and Hiroshima Prefectural Government for the next three years was held. Mr. Hidehiko Yuzaki, the Governor of Hiroshima Prefecture, welcomed Mr. Seth and encouraged the UNITAR Hiroshima Office to continue to support relations between Hiroshima and the United Nations.

Launch of a new open online “Youth and Peacebuilding” course

UNITAR’s Youth and Peacebuilding e-learning course enables learners from around the globe to explore possible entry points for young people’s involvement in peacebuilding activities. Through UN CC:Learn, UNITAR partners with Danone bringing education on climate change to drive sustainable change

For the first time, UNITAR partners with a private company to build a core set of knowledge that will help promote conservation, restoration and safeguarding of our planet, while encouraging Danone employees to take concrete action. Through UN CC:Learn, UNITAR and Danone will develop a learning program on climate change for Danone employees.

UNITAR Partners with IDLO to Expand Training in Rule of Law

UNITAR has entered into a new partnership with the International Development Law Organization(IDLO), the only intergovernmental organization exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law. Signing Ceremony of Partnership Agreement between UNITAR and BHOS

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has recently signed an agreement with the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) in Azerbaijan to provide 15 Nigerian students with education and training. They will be trained and qualified in Petroleum Engineering receiving a bachelors degree at the end of their 4-year study.

New CIFAL Madrid to Improve Road Safety Through Training and Education

To mark the launch of the new International Training Center for Authorities and Leaders (CIFAL) in Madrid, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain.
