UN CC:Learn, a One UN partnership involving 33 international organisations interested in climate change learning, has recently released an introductory e-Learning course on climate change. The course, which is available for free, is self-paced and composed of six modules, each one taking approximately 2 hours to complete. The UN CC:Learn secretariat is hosted by UNITAR.

The course is available and accessible at unccelearn.org. So far, over 2400 people from more than 150 countries have decided to take up the challenge. Once they have completed the course, they will receive a certificate of participation issued by UNITAR.

The modules contain the latest information on climate change. They were created and revised by the UN CC:Learn partners in order to produce high quality learning products to be either used as an e-learning course or as downloadable presentations that can be used to facilitate face to face learning.

The course explores the following topics :

- Climate change science
- International framework to address climate change
- Climate change mitigation
