This assessment of the Halowed camp in Dolo Ado was based on a quantitative analysis for Somali refugees fleeing the drought and conflict in Somalia. A semi-automated shelter detection analysis was conducted using satellite imagery recorded on 11 August 2011. A total of approximately 215 tents and building structures were identified with a high degree of confidence within the camp site encompassing a current area of approximately 0.0274 meters squared. Approximately and additional 25 fixed buildings, likely allocated for camp infrastructure and staff, are observed in the camp.
