Summary
Established in 2019, the International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Senegal (CIFAL Dakar) is hosted by the Municipality of Dakar in Dakar, Senegal. The centre aims to strengthen the capacities of government authorities, private sector representatives and civil society leaders in the areas of urban governance and planning, capacity for Agenda 2030, and social Inclusion.
Scope: West Africa (focused on Francophone countries).

CIFAL Dakar director
Mr. Mouhamed Diop
Mr. Mouhamed Diop is the Director of CIFAL Dakar, a UNITAR-affiliated training and knowledge centre hosted by the Municipality of Dakar that supports capacity-building and sustainable development initiatives. In his role, he leads the planning, coordination and delivery of training programmes and partnerships aimed at strengthening local governance, leadership and public administration across the region. Mr. Diop holds academic credentials from CESAG and has a background in municipal administration and international cooperation, working closely with local authorities, stakeholders and development partners to advance effective governance and knowledge exchange.
