12-13 May 2011, Geneva, Switzerland - UNITAR, the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) Professional Standards Committee and the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) held a meeting in Geneva to plan the development and implementation of a new programme on risk-based approach to financial audit.

This programme will contribute to build the skills of audit officials and promote knowledge sharing among Supreme Audit Institutions of developing countries. Specifically, UNITAR will put its e-Learning infrastructure and pedagogical approach at the disposal of the programme, and provide advice on knowledge management strategies. It is expected that up to 200 audit officials from developing countries will be trained through two state-of-the-art e-Learning courses within the first 12 months.
