The workshop, co-organized with the Olof Palme Memorial Fund, is part of the 2010 Negotiation Series “Towards levelling the playing field”. It aims at equipping delegates with skills and knowledge to perform efficiently in multilateral negotiations related to environmental sustainability and climate change.

The program will give an overview of the characteristics of environmental negotiations and their particularities. Through simulations and case discussions, the workshop will enhance the understanding of the various elements of environmental negotiations, including the different actors, interests, positions, coalitions, and interlinkages between different agreements and negotiation areas.
