23 October 2019, New York, USA – The United Nations Institute for Training and Research’s (UNITAR) New York Office kicked off the first of a series of workshops that will be held for the newly elected members of the Security Council for the 2020-20201 period: Tunisia, Niger, Vietnam, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Estonia.

15 - 16 October 2019, New York, USA - The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) New York Office held a two-day training course titled “Training for New Delegates of the Permanent Mission of Sudan to the United Nations” at the Permanent Mission of Sudan to the United Nations.

23 September 2019, New York, USA – The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) ASG, Executive Director Mr. Nikhil Seth attended the UN High-Level Meetings (UN HLM) on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) during the 74th United Nations General Assembly which was held at Trusteeship Council on Monday morning.

22 September 2019, New York, USA – The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in collaboration with member institutions launched a university global coalition which was hosted by the Rockefeller Foundation, New York. The coalition is “a collaborative platform of globally engaged universities and higher education associations working in partnership with the United Nations and other stakeholders to create a more sustainable future for all.” Some of the founding member schools represented include the Yonsei University, Georgia Institute of Technology, George Mason University and McGill University.

18 – 19 September 2019, New York, USA – The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), New York Office, supported the launch of newly published Negotiation book at the United Nations Book store in New York and welcomed a visit from the Director of El Instituto Centroamericano de Administración Pública - Central American Institute of Public Administration (ICAP).

17 September 2019, New York, USA- United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) New York Office wrapped up a series of core diplomatic trainings for the United Arab Emirates Diplomatic Corps in preparation for the upcoming 74th General Assembly. The training took place at the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates to the UN, and lasted from 3-12 September, 2019.

9 September 2019, New York, USA – The United Nations Institute for Training and Research’s (UNITAR) New York Office kicked off the first session of the induction course for Qatari Diplomats in Conference Room D of the United Nations Headquarters. The program for the new diplomats includes courses on negotiation, the General Assembly, the Responsibility to Protect and Rules and Procedures of the UN.
