Juan Daniel Avila Gomez

Mr. Avila is from Bogota DC, Colombia, with a professional background in Civil Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning. He has developed his professional career in issues related to corporate sustainability strategies incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects as well as management approaches such as human rights due diligence; creation of shared value with stakeholders; climate change, and biodiversity.

Mr. Avila has served as director of CIFAL Bogota since 2021. Additionally, he is an international advisor to multinationals and organizations in Latin America on the planning and management of policies, programs, and projects related to the infrastructure, energy, environmental, water, and sanitation sectors, and more.
