Mikel Berraondo

Mr. Mikel Berraondo is an expert in the defense of human rights and an advisor to indigenous communities in Latin America. Mr. Berraondo was born in Navarra in 1974, and holds a Masters Degree in Human Rights and Democratic Processes. He is a legal advisor to Latin American communities before the United Nations and the Inter-American Human Rights System. Also, he participates in the NGO Grupo Intercultural Almaciga and the Institute for the Promotion of Social Studies (Ipes Elkartea). Further on, Mr. Berraondo is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Institute of Law and Society (Peru) and of the Honorary Council of the Observatory on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of Neuquén (Argentina).
