CIFAL Istanbul was established in 2019 in collaboration with Bahçeşehir University (BAU). The center’s mission is to advance and enhance capacity on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for public and private sector leaders, nongovernmental organization representatives, academics, local authorities, and students.
Through the transfer of best-knowledge practices, social awareness, and cross-sectional collaboration, CIFAL Istanbul seeks to strengthen sustainable development capacities for individuals and institutions at the national and international level.

CIFAL Istanbul DIRECTOR
Dr. Ahmet Aydemir was born in 1984 in Istanbul, Turkey. He holds a PhD in Program Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Boğaziçi University. Additionally, he also holds a double Psychology and Sociology Bachelor of Arts degree from Koç University. After working as a communications trainer at The Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV), he managed the Human Resources Department of TÜV NORD Turkey as human resources coordinator. He then worked at MEF University as the professional development coordinator and instructor for management for the Psychology Faculty.
Currently, Dr. Aydemir acts as director of CIFAL Istanbul, and is a project coordinator at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Bahçeşehir University. As a member of Turkish Psychologists Association (TPD), American Psychological Association (APA), American Sociological Association (ASA), and People Management Association of Turkey (PERYÖN), he volunteers as a pathway guide for 21st century skills at the TurkishWIN / BinYaprak digital networks. Dr. Aydemir also writes articles and gives classes for various academic and professional organizations in subjects such as industrial and organizational psychology, human resources management, organizational behaviour, career consulting, personal development, communication, emotional intelligence, emotional contagion, mindfulness, sustainable development, and social responsibility.
