UNITAR Begins Partnership with Corporate Communication International
28 September 2017 – The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is pleased to announce the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UNITAR and Corporate Communication International (CCI), signaling an official partnership between the two parties for future training and capacity building activities. The MoU was signed by UNITAR Executive Director Mr. Nikhil Seth, with UNITAR NYO Head of Office Ambassador Marco Suazo representing Mr. Seth and UNITAR at the signing of CCI Director Mr. Michael B. CCI is a world-class, research-driven educational center in Corporate Communication, and an ideal partner in professional development programming to respond to the evolving needs of the New York multilateral diplomatic community in the sphere of corporate communication. The signed MoU outlines the parties’ joint recognition of the importance of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as of targeted training and other related Programme initiatives geared towards improving skills and raising awareness among New York-based delegates.
This partnership demonstrates UNITAR’s continuous efforts to strengthen partnerships within and beyond the diplomatic community, in the spirit of multilateralism and global decision-making to support country-level action towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals.
