14 June 2022, New York, USA - The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) office in New York organized a launching event in the United Nations (UN) Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Chamber for the new book, "Redefining Development: The Extraordinary Genesis of the Sustainable Development Goals". The launching attracted more than 70 in-person participants and numerous interested individuals from different parts of the world who managed to follow the event simultaneously through the UN Web TV livestream.

In light of the International Professional Programme’s recent launch, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and CEU San Pablo University held a conference in Madrid, Spain to provide students with insights into the United Nations. More specifically, attendees were given insights into UNITAR’s mission and strategy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as support governments in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

3 June 2022, Geneva, Switzerland – UNITAR's Division for Multilateral Diplomacy was pleased to receive a visit from a delegation of the Global Inter-Gangwon Cooperation Network, sponsored by the Government of Gangwon last month on 16 May 2022. The visit was arranged with the kind support of the Global Hope Network International (GHNI). During a joint tour through the Palais des Nations in Geneva, UNITAR's Division for Multilateral Diplomacy and the Global Inter-Gangwon Cooperation Network were exploring avenues of cooperation in the field of Sports Diplomacy and Peace. The visit of the delegation culminated with a Memorandum of Understanding between the Global Inter-Gangwon Cooperation Network and UNITAR.

1 June 2022, Geneva, Switzerland - The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and Seton Hall University (SHU) proudly announce the Online Master’s Programme in International Affairs and Diplomatic Practice, a new postgraduate programme which will allow mid-career professionals to explore contemporary diplomacy against the changing nature of world politics in relation to international law, and enable them to investigate the complexities of relationships between different countries.

19 May 2022, New York, USA – The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) New York Office partnered with the Human Development Report Office (HDRO) from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to organize a virtual workshop on the lessons learned from the Special Human Security Report 2022. The workshop was attended by approximately 150 participants who were able to gain further understanding of new threats to human security in the Anthropocene.

Delivering one’s message is key to work together efficiently and to overcome challenges at both the individual and organizational level.

With this in mind, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Conflux Center for Intercultural Mediation and Dialogue have designed and developed the innovative virtual course on “Speechwriting and Public Speaking Skills for Multilateral Diplomacy: Cases & Insights from the United Nations”.

10 May 2022, New York, USA — The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Longy School of Music of Bard College (Longy), the Global Foundation for the Performing Arts (GFPA), announce a partnership to expand access around the world to Longy’s Master of Music in Music Education degree. Launching in Fall 2022, this joint master programme will equip educators to foster creative youth development and inspire cross -cultural exchange in classrooms worldwide.

The programme provided a unique discussion with experienced professionals on issues the climate is facing and actions to consider; to be able to reach and implement the set goals of the 2030 Agenda.
