As part of UNITAR’s Division for Multilateral Diplomacy, the International Law Programme works to enhance the capacities of diplomats, public officials, delegates, professionals, students, and other stakeholders on various topics related to International Law.
Using the Internet as a training medium, UNITAR’s Division for Multilateral Diplomacy brings together participants and trainers in a unique learning environment. All online courses build on UNITAR’s wealth of experience in designing and implementing training workshops in diplomacy and multilateral affairs at the country and regional levels.
These annual courses are geared towards delegates of UN missions from the least developed countries (LDCs) and small island developing states (SIDS) and held by UNITAR New York Office.
UNITAR Global Diplomacy Initiative programme provides a rare opportunity for students to learn about diplomacy from diplomats themselves.
In 2019, the meeting of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council, will be held from Tuesday, 9 July, to Thursday, 18 July 2019; including the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum from Tuesday, 16 July, to Thursday, 18 July 2019.
CDT is practice-oriented training provided to diplomats and other beneficiaries at major United Nations locations so that they can perform effectively in a multilateral context.
Upon the request of UN Member States and/or in partnership with intergovernmental organizations, UNITAR designs and delivers tailor-made activities on themes related to multilateral diplomacy and international affairs.
