FREE COURSES OF THE MOMENT ON THE MOBILE LEARNING PLATFORM: “EDUCATE ALL”

UNITAR

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and microlearning platform EdApp together launched “Educate All,” a global learning initiative designed to democratize and increase access to free, high-quality adult education, initiated in 2020.

Courses on this platform are designed for smartphones and free to the public. Lessons are accessible and downloadable worldwide, enabling participants to access them while offline. This initiative aims to provide quality adult education, and bridge the digital divide, providing courses that learners can access with limited internet access.

UNITAR Division for Prosperity released its first interactive report, The Global Impact Report, which detailed the initiative’s performance in September 2021. A total of 4,519 learners in 132 countries accessed the lessons annually. Completion rates for courses reached up to 33%, ten times higher than that of other traditional open access online course platforms.
